Headache & Migraine Resources


June is National Migraine and Headache Awareness Month

The National Headache Foundation seeks to raise awareness for migraines and headaches through advocacy and education. Similarly, the John & Nettie Mooney Libraries help educate and support those who suffer with migraines or headaches.  Most materials related to headaches are located in the Mooney Library, Level 2, East Building.  Materials that you or a patient can check out include:
  • Managing migraine : a patient's guide to successful migraine care
  • The adherence principle: empowering your healthy self
  • The woman's migraine toolkit: managing your headaches from puberty to menopause
  • The migraine brain: your breakthrough guide to fewer headaches, better health
  • The migraine cookbook: more than 100 healthy and delicious recipes for migraine sufferers

Find more books in the library catalog or contact the Mooney Libraries at ext. 55995 or Mooneylibrary@gundersenhealth.org to request one of the materials listed. Librarians are also able to provide health information specific to you or your patient. Materials and other information can be emailed, interoffice mailed, or mailed to a home, free of charge.
