Dosing for obesity considerations added to drug monographs

Where appropriate, Lexicomp drug monographs now include special dosing considerations for obese patients. In addition to obesity considerations, Lexicomp also includes dosing information for geriatric, pediatric, and neonatal patients, as well as for patients with renal impairment and hepatic impairment. Monographs also include detailed considerations for pregnant or breastfeeding patients.

New mobile features for Lexicomp

Over the past year, several new features have been added to Lexicomp mobile subscriptions. Here are some of the highlights:

■ Customize the order of monograph fields – Users can now put monograph fields in whatever order they prefer! Put most often used fields at the top, and collapse those you rarely use.

■ New drug comparison tools – Choose any two drugs and select the fields you want to compare for a side-by-side view that makes differences clear.

■ Enhanced global and monograph searching – You can quickly search for keywords in any database from the start screen. And once you’re in a monograph, you can search for keywords to immediately find the information you need.

■ Optimized for tablets – Tablet displays over 7” will now show a split-screen view that allows for faster navigation through monographs.
