monographs now have links to Briggs’ Pregnancy and Lactation content.
Briggs’ Drugs in Pregnancy and Lactation
is considered one of the foremost references regarding medication safety
and appropriate use during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
ENHANCED: Beers Criteria Tables
Beers Criteria for Potentially
Inappropriate Medication Use for Geriatrics is now presented differently
to help make it more accessible and easier to use at the point of care.
Table presentation of the latest Beers content is available in the charts
and special topics section of Lexi-Drugs core drug information database.
Beers content has also been updated in the patient safety field and in
clinical practice guidelines section of Lexi-Drugs with direct links to
Beers guidelines.
ENHANCED: ALS/PALS calculators
Adult and pediatric advanced
life support (ALS) calculators have been updated to reflect the latest
recommendations from the American Heart Association, published in fall
2015. Updates include concentration and volumes changes. Find the ALS and
PALS calculators in the Calculators module, accessible from the blue tool
bar on the top of every screen.
NEW: VisualDx® User Interface
Subscribers to VisualDx®, the
image-based clinical decision support resource developed by Logical
Images, will now access an enhanced user interface that makes images
easier to view. Link to VisualDx drug eruption images from the Warnings
& Precautions section of Lexi-Drugs core drug monographs, or search
drug eruption content from the VisualDx Differential Builder, accessible
from the blue tool bar at the top of every page of Lexicomp Online.
