April is Foot Health Awareness Month

April is Foot Health Awareness Month, sponsored by the American Podiatric Medical Association.  Foot Health Awareness month is intended to educate the public about positive foot health and podiatrists as the foot health practitioner of choice.  Library services can provide many resources to help support you and your patient with their foot health.   Here are a few…

AnatomyTV--Provides a 3-D online model of the foot and ankle anatomy.  Perfect for patient education and teaching.

ClinicalKey-- Search with the keyword, “foot”, and you will find over 6000 multimedia results in ClinicalKey.  ClinicalKey multimedia includes images, charts, and video.  With simple registration, you can save the multimedia for use in educational presentations.

Mooney Libraries—Here is a sampling of foot titles for your patients and families:  The foot book : a complete guide to healthy feet, The whole foot book : a complete program for taking care of your feet, and 101 tips on foot care for people with diabetes.  Search the library catalog for more.
