The People of Patient Education

The people behind the scenes of Patient Education Services...


Becky Inglis, RN
Patient Education Nurse

Becky is the nurse and staff educator for all things patient education.  She teaches about the patient education website, how patient education is linked in Epic, how to document patient education, and how to best teach patients.  She also writes and reviews patient education content.  Finally, she acts as project manager for large patient education projects.
Melissa Miller, RN
Interactive Patient Education Nurse

Melissa does all things GetWell:)Network.  GetWell:)Network (GWN) is our interactive patient education and entertainment system in our hospital.  The GWN allows providers to assign specific patient education videos for their patients to view, allows patients to view movies as well as relaxation videos and music.  Melissa provides training and guidance in the use of the GWN and assists in obtaining content for the GWN.  If you have questions about the GWN, contact Melissa.


Charlotte Grant
Patient Education Content Specialist

Charlotte is a patient education writer.  She gathers information from content experts, expert resources, and makes it her goal to write patient education information at a sixth grade reading level.


Kaye Crampton
Patient Education Librarian

Along with her duties as the librarian in residence at the Onalaska Clinic, she is a patient education writer.  She gathers information from content experts, expert resources, and makes it her goal to write patient education information at a sixth grade reading level.  She also takes care of requests for document translation to other languages.





Melinda Orebaugh
Director, Library & Patient Education Services

Melinda coordinates and leads the efforts of the patient education team.  She assists with writing, project management, content review, patient education website management and more.  She is the glue that keeps it all together.






Other library and information system staff and volunteers as needed...

Other library and IS staff and volunteers provide patient education website maintenance, document formatting, kitting, answers to copyright inquiries, licensing, troubleshooting, literature searches, and more!
