New Guideline Essentials Tool available with AORN's Guidelines for Perioperative Practice

AORN is pleased to announce you now have access to Guideline Essentials, a new benefit offered exclusively to subscribers to the Guidelines for Perioperative Practice. What is Guideline Essentials? Guideline Essentials is an online suite of tools designed to help nurses easily understand and quickly follow AORN’s evidence-based guidelines.   This new set of implementation tools includes step-by-step instructional guides, how-to videos, audit tools, staff training resources, and much more to help standardize and elevate your team’s competencies. New collections are scheduled to be released in 2015 as new guidelines are released or updated. How to Access Guideline Essentials Log-in to your eSubscription account. Open the guidelines that currently have the Guideline Essentials available (i.e., Guideline for Surgical Attire and Guideline for Preoperative Patient Skin Antisepsis). Look for the link at the top of the page that reads, “Click here to access Guideline Essentials — a comprehensive set of tools to help facilities implement this Guideline.” Click on the link to gain access to a restricted web portal. Navigate the portal to access videos, downloadable documents, and other customizable training tools.
