New doctors and those studying to practice medicine may need a bit of assistance as they prepare to administer direct care to patients. The Clinical Skills Online website was created to offer some helpful videos for such persons, and was funded by the United Kingdom's Higher Education Academy Subject Centre for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine. The thirteen videos are all available at no cost. They cover topics like History Taking, Thyroid Examination, and Abdominal Examination.

Learning Radiology

The Learning Radiology website was conceived and created by Professor William Herring of the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. The site includes video podcasts, lectures from medical professionals, and interactive tutorials. The materials on the site are divided into seven topical areas, including Lectures, Notes, Images, Case of the Week Archive, and Quick Quizzes.

The End of Life/Palliative Education Resource Center (EPERC) is based at the Medical College of Wisconsin. The EPERC website contains links to educational materials, fact sheets, and links to other web resources. The purpose of the EPERC is "to share educational resource material among the community of health professional educators involved in palliative care education." Visitors who will find these materials particularly helpful include nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals.

This website was designed to teach medical students about anatomy. Visitors to the site will find a range of materials, including diagrams, illustrations, quizzes, tips, mnemonics, and so on. Sections on the homepage include Head & Neck, Thorax, Abdomen, Arm, and Leg. Each of these sections includes dozens of illustrations, along with some useful Brain Training Games. These games are designed to increase comprehension of the materials covered in each area. The site is rounded out by a collection of iPhone and iPad apps, along with a set of detailed flash cards.
